Bob Boulding started playing the guitar at the age of 9 years. He took his music studies at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, with an emphasis on performance, theory, and arrangement. During the years since, Bob has gone on to perform thousands of shows in various groups. His most well known and active period was with the Celtic rock band Young Dubliners, with whom he recorded six albums and toured internationally from 1999 until 2017.
Having studied and practiced a variety of musical styles during a long professional career, Bob entered teaching to share his experience with others. The Suzuki Music method moved him because of the emphasis placed on learning by listening, and the belief that every child (and adult) can learn sublimely when provided a positive and encouraging environment.
Bob has completed Suzuki teacher training in Guitar Units 1 and 2, and the Book 1 Booster course. In addition to an active membership with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, he is a member of the Suzuki Music Association of California — LA Chapters.
Bob is the founder and director of Superpowers Music Academy in Pasadena and Los Angeles.
